so, some of you have probably asked yourselves this before, "if god was real, why does he let bad things happen?" well, heres the answer. when we were created, god gave us free will. to make our own choices in life and to be able to have freedom to choose to believe in him or not. this is exactly why bad things happen too, a lot of the bad things in world are from the problems of humans ourselves. it says in the bible that, "For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins." (Romans 3:23-24) we are sinners. we have all sinned, but jesus died on the cross for us so that we are forgiven through confession of sin. the only human that has walked this earth with no sin in their soul was jesus, and he was gods son. god gave us a choice, because we are obviously not perfect (jesus is, though!). and we all fall short of the glory of god. (Romans 3:23)
