We want to talk about pronouns. This is quite important to us so please listen. We are a singular person and we don't believe that we have headmates (look up Dissociative Identity Disorder or DID). But when referring to ourselves, we like to use collective pronouns. This is just comfortable for us. It's a new thing for us too, but we like the we/us pronouns as it feels safe. We don't know why this makes us feel safer and it is something we will be speaking to our therapist about. So just to clarify: we are are one singular person. Only one person has this account and has access to it. We just like to use the us/we pronouns when referring to ourselves. Any questions, please ask!
Other notes: - We think this preference has stemmed from trauma but we don't know. - It may not last. We may go back to using singular pronouns, or fluctuate between singular or plural. - There is something else going on, but we don't know what and will update you with any more information.
