She can speak, though she doesn't have a mouth, so it's more or less telepathic I guess. She has a jewel on her forehead that changes color according to her feelings, and has a range of ten main colors. Zaria was discovered by Charles when a meteor fell close to his home, so he brought the meteor home, ran a few tests and was surprised when it transformed into a living creature, who he named Zaria. Zaria has stuck around with him ever since, and is fiercely loyal. The guy in this picture was Charles... though he doesn't remember it. Ever since he came out of the experiment, he insists his name is Doctor, though Zaria has desperately tried to explain that "Doctor" is his title, NOT his name. Doctor can be very unstable, though he has never hurt anyone (yet). Since the experiment, he has occasional moments where he seems to be arguing and fighting with himself, occasionally it gets bad enough that he locks himself in his room and refuses to leave for several hours as unknown chaos happens within. For all of his unpredictable nature, however, he remains good and caring, especially to Zaria and Angel. He likes to waste time making unrealistic inventions, that he is certain will work: things like a machine that turns water into rice (what? Why rice?). Finally, there is the girl, Angel. She was the one who was supposed to be the test subject. Lawrence had picked her up off the street and brought her to his lab, where his men examined her and prepared her for the test. She was sure she was going to die. Then Charles and Zaria walked in. At first she thought that Charles was just another one of Lawrence's scientists, but the way Charles kept looking at her with sympathy started to change her mind. Then, after Charles had a lengthy, heated conversation with Lawrence that ended in them both giving each other a begrudging hand shake, Charles came up to her and told her that he was taking her place. She couldn't believe it. They had never met, so... why? She never got to find out, since when he came out of the machine he had become a nearly different person. After the events that followed that day, she ended up returning to the home of Zaria and Charles (who now called himself Doctor) with them. Doctor cared for her, and Zaria made a habit of curling up beside her in bed and telling her stories of who Charles was. Four years went by, and that's where their story gets interesting... So, there you have it, about everything you can know about the characters without spoiling anything. Phew... it's a lot. But there's a lot more to the story... and I'm looking forward to making it. Even if no one ever sees it. :) Also, I would just like to say that I'm horrible at drawing people, but want to get better. That's kinda why I'm doing this, and because I love the story and characters sooooo much! I hate the fact that I draw horribly, though... i mean, just look at his hair in this picture! And the background is so... bleh *shakes head in dismay*
Song is my fav, and so beautiful... Shattered by Trading Yesterday I feel like it reflects these guys and their story a lot, that's why I picked it.
