I hope I didn't push the "Small changes" limit ehehehe- I just wanted to complicate the design so he has a cool scar and ear tufts ^^ BIO--------------------------------------------------- NAME: Askoto Gender: Male Species: Cat Orientation: Aroace Age: 36 (25 when backstory takes place) Series set: The in-between events (After "The Corruption" but before "Shattered") BACKSTORY---------------------------------------------- Eleven years ago (4 years after The Corruption), Askoto was in a crisis. He didn't know who he was or what he wanted to be. Instead of trying to be a better person, he thought it would be a splendid idea to consult the Great Diamonds. He climbed the Heaven Highway and soon found himself at the gates of their realm. To his surprise, the guards let him in. He walked past the Colored Diamonds as well as a few other gods. He knew they might be able to help, but he wanted to be certain. And Blue Diamond was not in a good mood lately so he might not even let the diamonds talk to a lowly mortal. So he walked to the Abyssal portal. No mortal was allowed in there, and everyone knew this. Blue Diamond spotted him, so Askoto made a run for it. And he made it! He was half expecting Blue to follow him in, but he probably had better things to do like terrorize his kid (mmmmmm foreshadowing the series plot). He looked up at the Great Black and White Diamonds. He bowed before the great creators. "Please O great ones, I need a favor!" The more immature of the two- White- just scoffed and wandered off. But Black was more understanding. "What is it that you want mortal?" Black asked. "I'm having a bit of a crisis." He replied. He heard White yell, "Don't give him no money girl!" "I'm NOT jeez what's your problem?" Black said in annoyance. Askoto flinched at the arguing deities, but he stood his ground. "I'm sick of being so- bland. Everyone else has cool powers and patterns but I'm just a plain gray cat." Black nodded in understanding as she thought. "It is possible for me to alter your appearance, if that's what you want." "Yes! Oh please do that for me Ma'am!" Askoto said eagerly. "Then tell me. What would you like changed?" Askoto barely gave it any thought before saying, "I wish I was stone!" Black found this strange, but she granted his wish anyway. Askoto's fur turned into hard rock, as did his bones and most muscles. He was happy even though it was hard to move. Or was he? His emotions were so dulled he could hardly tell. "Uhm, sorry but I don't want to be stone. I've changed my mind." he told Black Diamond. Black let out a barely audible sigh and turned him back to his normal state. Although, his bones were still extremely hard. "Ok. What do you actually want?" Black asked again. As Askoto pondered, rightfully embarrassed she had to ask again, he suddenly felt uneasy. What if the Colored Diamonds followed him in?! But he didn't dare turn his head away from the goddess. That's when he had an idea. "I wish I had eyes in the back of my head!" Black granted his request once again. Eyes formed on the back of Askoto's head. As he opened his new pair of peepers, a realization hit. Not only did it take focus from his front eyes, but his fur was in them! The way the fur sweeped was all wrong and obviously wasn't supposed to go around parts of his head. So he once again asked for something else. And yet again Black reverted him to normal. Thankfully, this time none of the ability stayed. But he still had hard bones. This went on six more times. He asked for something, but then kept changing his mind. Thank goodness his only current effects were ear patterns and the hard bones. By now, Black was about to lose it and White showed up to watch the fiasco. "Okay boy. PLEASE make a decision you are going to KEEP!" Askoto looked at how big and imposing these gods were and finally came up with a good idea. "I wish... I was BIG!" Black granted his wish and made him the size of a tiger. Askoto looked down at himself with some disappointment. "I wish I was as BIG AS MY HOUSE!" Black granted this again, eager to get this indecisive kid out of her fur. Askoto grew huge, he was the size of a dragon! He was happy for the moment, but the familiar feeling of making the wrong choice crept back to him. "NOOOOO I DON'T WANNA BE BIG ANYMORE!" Askoto cried out. Black turned him back to normal. His tail was a bit larger than normal but other than that he was back to as he was. "UGHHH I GIVE UP!" Black huffed. White looked at her and asked, "Do ya want me to take over? "I don't see how you could do any better than me..." Askoto felt terrible for what he was doing, and knew that he would now be on the gods' bad side. Gods... Askoto now knew for certain what he wanted. "I wish- I wish-" The Diamonds looked at him and White got ready for his request. "I WISH I WAS A GOD!!!" They stared at him in disbelief. What an outlandish request! But to Black's horror, White said to him, "Sure buddy! (Continue to credits)
(Continues from Instructions) -What kinda god do ya wanna be?" "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?!" Black whispered loudly to White. "Trust me girly, I got this." Askoto stammered "Um- Uh a fire god! n- no, a sky god! no, a- a thunder god!" "Alright! One fire-sky-thunder-god coming right up!" And with that Askoto sprouted wings and horns, and fire erupted out of his wrists and ankles. He was A GOD! This is DEFINITELY the right choice! He thanked the gods and dashed back through the portal, leaving a trail of embers as he ran. He ran back out the gates and onto the Heaven Highway. Instead of running down it, he wanted to test his wings! So he jumped off the side. He flapped his wings and felt the cool air flow through his fur. This was a dream come true! Meanwhile, back in the Abyss... Black leapt onto white, knocking both of the goddesses down. "WHAT THE HECK WERE YOU THINKING?! We can't just have RANDOM mortals become GODS!" Black yelled in her partner's face. White just grinned. Then she began to laugh. "Y-you REALLY think I made the loser a GOD?! How stupid do you think I am?" Black stared at her with confusion. "B-But what about the wings and magic?" "You can have that and not be a god you know. I just gave him another 200 years on his lifespan and some cool assets!" Black still was staring in confusion, but then started to laugh along with White. White stopped laughing and said, "Hey. Let's watch the show! That idiot just jumped off the Sky Bridge! A hole appeared, showing a screen of what Askoto was doing. White whispered, "Did you know you have to LEARN to fly with wings?" The two chuckled at this. BACK TO OUR BOI... What he thought was flying turned out to be falling with style. His wings got tired quickly, which shouldn't happen because he is a god, right? His gradual descent turned into a plummeting free fall. He managed to slightly slow himself down with his wings, but the ground was approaching fast. He tried to guide himself to a forest to break his fall, but it wasn't working. He should've just stayed a bland, regular cat. By now he accepted his fate. He whispered to himself the last words he would ever say, "I wish I was me, whoever that is." -He managed to hit the forest. But instead of having his fall broken, he never touched the ground. He was- hanging by a tree? But by what? He had no clothes and his wings and body were just fine. He felt his horns, but they weren't caught. Then he felt a stinging pain in his cheek. He also noticed warm, sticky bl00d running down his face. Somehow he had managed to have a broken branch rip a hole in his face and dangle him by his flesh. He wriggled free and fell the rest of the way down, which didn't hurt too bad because of his hard bones. He patched up his cheek and wandered deeper into the forest in shame. He would one day return to civilization, but for now he was going to be here in case the Great Diamonds let word of this get out... I absolutely LOVE the idea of an AJR dta! I also think making songs into characters is just- amazing This character's design fits SO WELL with my fantasy world, and the fact he is song-based make it a perfect match with my other characters :D In my world, dubstep songs and things like it make the characters and songs while words make the plot.
