It is superior to the old sail driven and wooden ships in almost every way, able to deflect and weather heavy amounts of damage even from large ships due to its armour, composed of iron. Its cannons have had the conventional cast iron cannonballs be replaced by explosive artillery shells, an innovation made to better counter and destroy conventional wooden ships. It is not driven by sails, but by a steam engine. It requires water and coal. This will make it much faster than any other non-ironclad, however, if its coal stocks run out during its voyage, since it has no sails, it will most likely require another ship to tug it back to the shore, or port for refueling.
