Instructions

Every single muscle in his body hurt like oblivion- searing, st4bb1ng, and practically SCREAMING at him as he weakly trudged through this barren wasteland… And causing his head to ring so loudly that he could barely concentrate on anything else He… He never wanted to be here… But he’d made a horrible mistake… They said that the Ash Storms could t34r the skin right off your bones- but what everyone failed to mention was what could also be carried on the winds… And now that he’d caught this… This thing they call ‘Corprus’, and the effects of the disease were already obvious- horrible pxinful growths covering his face and arms, and random bursts of extreme paranoia… So they cast him out of the cities, since of course… The disease was always lethal- but not in the normal sense. It wouldn’t kxll those that it infected… But take away their very minds, and turn them senselessly violent… And even a /scratch/ from the infected was enough to catch it… /By the gods… What had he done to deserve this/- He thought as he collapsed against a rock outcropping that jutted out of the gray earth- everything was gray here for miles and miles and miles… /WHAT THE OBLIVION HAD HE DONE?!/ No matter how much he strained his brain for an answer, nothing arose… Ever since he’d awoken on that boat, he hadn’t had a shred of a clue who he was, or why he knew the things he knew… All he had was a name… /Devryne Motmalvel/… So… So maybe he had done something that… That…- He began coughing sharply, interrupting that train of thought as specks of blood dripped onto his hands, the only source of colour… But not one that he wished to see… He curled up into a ball, sobbing softly as he drifted into an exhaustion induced, uneasy sleep…
