Instructions

If you are going to use these vectors, please give credit to me for vectorizing them, it would greatly be appreciated. It is also recommended to credit Sega as well. I've had the idea to make my own Puyo Puyo character vectors for a while now (I believe I had the idea since mid-2022). Throughout 2023, I noticed that Puyo Puyo had been becoming more relevant with my peers on Scratch, and I saw this as the right time to initiate this idea. I was initially planning to include all of the characters I planned to vectorize in one project, but then I realized way later on that it would take too long given how I'd vectorize each character. This eventually led to me deciding to split the idea into many small parts that I'd make at my own leisure. A trait that my Puyo Puyo vectors have is that they have multiple costumes based on their various in-game sprites (except for character select art) for extra flexibility when posing them, something I've rarely ever seen with other Puyo Puyo vectors. The costumes are named after the scenario they appear in and usually pertain to only one or two games. Click on any sprite to have it switch costumes. For my first Puyo Puyo vectors project, I have decided to share my vectors for Ocean Prince, Donguri Gaeru, Onion Pixie, and Oniko since they were already completed before I considered splitting the idea into several planned projects. Below are some notes that can be considered when using these vectors: - I styled all of the character sprites as if they were to appear in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. - The cutscene sprites for the characters are numbered based on how they appear on their sprite sheets from left to right. The game the sprite sheet comes from varies depending on the character. The left side of the cutscene costume number represents the pose they make, whereas the right side represents their specific facial expression. - Ocean Prince's cut-in sprites are based on Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 and his cutscene sprites are based on his cameo in the prequel, Puyo Puyo Tetris. Donguri Gaeru, Onion Pixie, and Oniko's sprites are based on Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary. However, I did include an extra pose based on their cameos in Puyo Puyo Tetris as well for good measure. - Ocean Prince has a human form known as Prince Shellbrick III (also known as Prince Salde) which is included with his sprite. This form is used in Ocean Prince's 5th spell cut-in. - Donguri Gaeru's sprite doesn't have a cutscene 1-1 costume. This is because his basic standing sprite (the first costume) is identical to that respective sprite instance of Donguri Gaeru in Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary. - Oniko's spell 5, counter, and win cut-in sprites are actually part of Onion Pixie's respective cut-ins in Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary (this also applies to her cameo in Puyo Puyo Tetris). Oniko has been included as a standalone sprite in this project due to being a separate character from Onion Pixie.

Description

Credit to Sega for Puyo Puyo and the sprites from the Puyo Puyo games that I used to make these vectors.
