Slash and Illusion got in racing positions, preparing for a race. Reese flew above them watching them. "On your mark... get set... g-" Slash announced. He tried to get a head start, but he tripped. Illusion cracked up. Reese flew done to check on Slash. "Are you okay?" she said with concern. "Yeah." Slash replied. Illusion was still laughing, so Reese tripped her with her tail. "Ahhh... okay. You got me." Illusion laughed. But things changed from happy to eerie... Slash saw the sun setting, and his stomach churned. "Ehh... I... I uh gotta go, Illusion." *Quickly floats off.* "That was weird..." Illusion thought. Wolfie ran to Illusion when she saw Slash float off. She was curious to see what was up. "What's wrong? What happened?" She said. Illusion looked puzzled. "I'm not sure..." Slash was not very far away. Blades came out of his paws. "I see... it's a night like that? O-oh... o... oh no..." Wolfie saw him from the corner of her eye and told Illusion, "We need to run..." Illusion saw Slash and grabbed Wolfie's paw to teleport away. Slash's fur darkened and the edge of his tail pointed. Flames surrounded his eyes and his eye color darkened. He howled menacingly. He grew wings and flew towards Illusion and Wolfie.
Illusion and Wolfie hugged each other in fright. Wolfie used her magic to form a protection bubble. Slash roared and slashed at the bubble. "Slash! Stop! Please!" Wolfie cried in fear. Slash went back to his normal form and looked at his paw.* "W-what have I become?" He ran away. "Slash! Wait!" Wolfie cried. "No! I don't want to hurt you!"
