Highly recommend you look at 1+2 first- It'll make more sense ;-; ~~~ WARNING!!! STORY MENTIONS SLIGHT REMOVAL OF BODY PARTS!!! And refer's to someone's de@th!! Begins: just after Peppermint's backstory ends. --- After Angela's de@th, Peppermint was once again heartbroken, having a mother figure for the second time. He followed his promise, and bought a small candy shop in a small, nearby town called Flourish Town. He named the shop All-Natural Angelic Candy Shop, after his beloved mentor Angela. Peppermint continued to live in the cottage he lived in with Angela, making candy at night and selling them during the day. His candy became so popular, he was able to build a small factory near his cottage, allowing him to produce candy 24/7 and gain much more profit, which he used to add on to his factory and help the town advance. Flourish Town was aptly named, as it flourished under Peppermint's factory. It grew from Flourish Town, a small, forgotten place on the map, to Floruishsweet City, where anyone who worked hard could make their dreams come true, and where you could find the best known candies in the world. Flourishsweet City and Peppermint prospered for many years, but not long after the All-Natural Angelic Candy Factory celebrated its 5th anniversary, a new candy company butted in to town. It was called the SynthSweets, and it was run by Synthwave and Sweetheart Kandiiz, a clever, malicious brother and sister pair that was only here for gain. Just a little side note, and by that I mean something very important, the citizens thought that the name SynthSweets was a combination of Synthwave and Sweetheart's names, but it really stood for "Synthetic Sweets." All of SynthSweets's candy was completely, 100% synthetic. Not even the sweetener that made the candy sweet, or the cocoa that made the chocolate chocolatey, was natural. This, of course, led to problems in a cat's body. Cats in the city started getting sick, and the doctors wrongly diagnosed it as "too much sugar." Cats started to buy less candy, but some were still getting sick, so less and less candy was bought, which was bad for both companies. Peppermint knew that his candy was good. Cats had been eating it for years and they were fine. SynthSweets had always been suspicious in his eyes, and after a little research, Peppermint discovered the dark truth about the Kandiiz siblings and ther terrible candy company. He set out to expose them to the world, so one night, he snuck into the factory, looking for evidence to take to the law enforcement and scientists. Not one minute after he entered the gates, an alarm sounded, and Peppermint was aware that he had been found, so he made a run for it. Not away, but into the factory. He wasn't going to make this trip worthless. He was going to take the risk, and he wasn't about to leave without a single piece of evidence. Pepper ran deeper into the factory, and was stopped in front of a large piece of gleaming copper machinery by none other than the infamous Kandiiz siblings. Sweetheart didn't want to get her paws dirty, but Synthwave was VERY willing to fight. The two toms fought viciously, and technically neither won, but... Synthwave managed to shove Peppermint off himself into the machinery, which "rem0ved" Peppermint's right arm, although not before Peppermint managed to "t@ke 0ut" Synthwave's right eye. The Kandiizs fled to take care of Synthwave's eye, and trusted the police to come and get Peppermint soon, but Pepper managed to get up. Sometime during the battle a cat made of pure candy had appeared in the shadows, and the entire trio didn't notice it, but now Peppermint did. If was giving him a slight blank stare with its mouth a little bit open. The cat was so still that Peppermint thought it was actual candy, so he took it to his own factory as "evidence." It wasn't until Peppermint was examining the cat did they move, and gave Pepper quite the jumpscare as it introduced themselves with "HIYA HIYA HELLO I'M RASPBERRY DARK BUT PLEASE CALL ME RAZZY WHO ARE YOU-" at the top of it's lungs. Yeah, our silly dark chocolate raspberry cat is just a little...enthusiastic. And bit slow, but still, they're really lovable. Speaking of which... Peppermint kept telling himself that this cat was evidence, and should be turned in to the police, so he locked Raspeberry up in a room. Razzy needs a lot of attention, so they were overjoyed when Peppermint couldn't help but visit them. Razz told Pepper about the Kandiiz, and how they were gong to melt them into chocolate because Razzy was deemed a "failed experiment." Peppermint couldn't help but be horrified, and even more at the fact that Raspberry didn't seem to mind, which just shows how they had never been treated well. Peppermint promised to visit more, and with each visit, they became closer. Pepper wanted to keep Razzy inside the room, since a sentient candy cat would most likely scare everyone, especially one with Razzy's shouty personality, but Raspberry was[+]
[+] getting sadder and sadder everyday, and Peppermint just had to give in, and finally let Razzy roam around free. Raspberry's smiles and shouts of happiness warmed Peppermint's heart, and he smiled too. For the first time in ages, he felt something for someone... and this time it wasn't exactly friendship or a parent...it was...love? But it couldn't be, this complicated things so much, and and conflicts arose in Peppermint's mind. Was it okay to love someone that isn't technically a living, biological being, even though the were just as sentient and feeling? Did Raspberry feel the same way about him? What if Razzy was taken away by the police, or even worse, the Kandiizs? Didn't he promise himself after what happened with his mother and Angela, that he would never get close to someone ever again? If Razzy felt the same way back, this could hurt both of them too much, physically and mentally. The Kandiizs were coming for them, and Pepper knew it... If doom and sadness were to come, why not be happy now? Why not enjoy their time together while they still had it? Peppermint cleared his throat. "Uhh, Razzy?
