(NOTE: I'M SO SORRY THAT I COULDN'T DRAW THIS CHAPTER. I MIGHT WRITE A FEW OTHER CHAPTERS LIKE THIS, BUT THE MAJORITY /WILL/ BE DRAWN) (Also, I'll post the COMIC version soon. Chapter 8: Nightgazer padded softly towards the familiar pale-yellow dragon she had grown to love, her heart pounding in her chest. Below her, the dried leaves rustled and twigs crackled. Seeming to hear her, Daylight turned her head suddenly, a smile brightening her face as her cloudy eyes blinked, "Hi Nighty," 'Nighty' laughed, a warm glow lighting in her chest as she sat next to the blind dragon, "Daylight," she greeted warmly, her wings shifting in embarrassment, "Um- How are you doing?" Daylight beamed slightly, "Fine, thank you!" she purred, suddenly leaning into Nightgazer's wings. /Don't tense... Don't tense... Oh, why can't I just up and say it...?/ she thought desperately, her wings trembling slightly as Daylight glanced at her worriedly. "Nighty..." she whispered, "Are you okay?" She pulled away, tucking in her wings and drooping her tail, "No..." she admitted. /Say it.../ Nightgazer jerked her head up suddenly, meekly meeting the worried eyes of Daylight. "I like you!" she blurted out, "I really, really do!" Daylight took a step back, her misty eyes widening, "Nighty..." she murmured. The hybrid turned her gaze down, "I really do," she muttered, "I understand if you don't, but..." Laughing, Daylight jumped into her arms. Nightgazer reared back, startled. "I like you too!" she laughed. Her heart felt like it would explode. She was here. Daylight was here, and that was all that mattered. -.- Still grinning, Nightgazer strolled with Daylight, their tails intertwined. Daylight was beaming too, which made it so much better, Trying to keep her emotions in check as familiar faces stared at her, bemused. "Hi Moon," she said in a bright, warm voice, "Hey Obsidian!" The couple beamed at her, "Hello Nightgazer," they both chorused. Daylight brushed past her, "Have you two gotten together yet?" she teased lightly, "Or..." Obsidian cast his gaze down as Moon happily brushed his wing, "Oh yes, we finally got together!" she laughed, "We're happy, aren't we?" Obsidian, embarrassed, nodded without a word as he slid his gaze away from the grinning face of Moon, Daylight laughed happily, “Good luck!” She called as the other couple strode off. Nightgazer beamed at her new girlfriend happily. “Race ya!” Daylight laughed. “You’re on!” -.- Unknown to them, a shadow smiled grimly. “Well look who we have here…” END
