As Littlebreak Market (or LBM) has been growing in numbers the past months, I thought it'd be good to have a 'few' events, so here we are! LBM Monthly Art Competitions (or Comps) happen every month, where participants will draw a scene based off of the prompt provided! These will be announced on the 1st of each month, and then end on the second to last day of the month. Within 7 to 20 days, I will publish the results and winners! More about prizes, things to know before entering, qualifications, and the rules are found below! Please make sure to read everything thoroughly. If you have ANY questions, then PLEASE ask me! It's best if we both are on the same page rather than not ^^ ｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡ QUALIFICATIONS TO ENTER : - You MUST be registered within Littlebreak Market. Haven't registered yet? Do so here! ->> https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/951396638/ - ALL OF YOUR WORKS MUST BE YOUR OWN. I can detect if you are committing art theft, and I WILL disqualify you if this is found to be true. - You must not have an active penalty on your LBM ID while entering. Your entry will be disqualified. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ENTRY : - Your entry MUST be a scene. Shading is not required but it will help you! - Your entry MUST be cleanly colored and cannot be only the sketch of the piece (i.e must have *some* form of ‘lineart’, whether that be pencil-like lines, clean lineart, or lineless). Please put actual effort into your entry! If you do then it will likely help you ^^ - Your entry must be digital, or at least the finished product must be, - Your entry MUST have the inclusion of your shopkeeper. So for example, my shop's (Quill's Citadel) mascot/shopkeeper is my oc Atticus, so if I was doing an entry then I'd use Atticus! If you do not have a shop made, then use whatever oc of yours you own for your entry, but if/when you make a shop, any future entries must align with the shop's shopkeeper ^^ If you have multiple shopkeepers, then use the one that ran your shop when you joined LBM! - Your entry must be remixed from this project! If you don't then you will receive a notice to remix this project instead. It helps me keep track of entries! - Your entry MUST follow the prompt given, found in Notes and Credits (before going to N&C, you MUST read the rules). - Your entry must follow the setting of LBM and the universe it's in. More about this is touched on in N&C. ｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡ RULES : - All LBM Rules apply, and you must abide by them when entering. - All qualifications stated above apply, and you must abide by them when entering. - Art theft (including AI 'Art') is STRICTLY prohibited. You will be disqualified from the Monthly Art Comps for the foreseeable future, as well for earning a penalty on your LBM account. - The use of alts is prohibited per LBM rules. You must enter/remix with the account that is linked to your LBM ID. - You cannot win an art comp more than once in the span of 3 monthly art comps. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t enter or get a runner-up! This rule is voided if you only got the place of runner-up in the previous Art comp. - Please do not put you or other's art down. A few examples of this is saying your or someone else's art is bad. I view the former as guilt tripping, which I can detect and I do not appreciate it. - I do NOT allow backgrounds that are real-life photos for any entry. Your background MUST be drawn by you. - Not exactly a 'rule', but closes on July 30th at 3 pm, Pacific Standard Time (PST). - Please do not link your entry in the comments. Assuming you've followed qualifications, then I would've seen it since it's a remix! - If you do not meet the qualifications to enter, you will be disqualified. Although, if you enter without having been registered to LBM, I will not disqualify you and simply point you to where you can register ^^ - If your entry does not meet the qualifications presented then you have a possibility of disqualification. - Collabing with others on your entry is not allowed. - Please do NOT ask me if you can enter. READ INSTRUCTIONS. RULES ARE STATED THERE AND ARE MANDATORY TO READ. ｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡ BEFORE YOU ENTER (mainly tips for entering) : - FOLLOW THE SETTING OF LBM! When I say this, I mean to follow where LBM is set in. More about this is touched on in the following section. Similarly, MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW THE PROMPT. If you have ANY sort of doubts on the prompt or clarifications given, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ASK ME. I don’t want to have to disqualify anyone’s hard work because there was a misunderstanding between us /nm /gen - Although shading isn't required, it will impact my decision of the winners! - The more characters the better! They can be your characters, another shopkeeper's, etc. Your entry must still abide by the qualification of your shopkeeper clearly being present in the piece. ｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡｡₊‧˙☆˙‧₊｡ ABOUT THE SETTING OF LBM : Littlebreak Market is set on a tropical island. Please make your entry follow this setting. Some key elements of the island are as follows : - docks for boats that contain tourists - a large tropical forest beyond the unofficial outskirts of the market - clear and teal-like water that inhabit various tropical fishes and animals, such as sea turtles, tropical fish, sharks, dolphins, etc! - shops and stalls lining the streets of the marketplace - the marketplace itself is very tropical themed, with tropical foliage all around! And while yes, there are also plants and flora imported from other parts of the world, please still try your best to make the flora be tropical-looking or aligned! Just please make sure to do your research on the time of year that LBM would be in during your entry! So for example, during a December entry there shouldn't be any snow since it doesn't snow in these types of climates and habitats ^^ If you want any guidance on the season and time of year your entry is supposed to be set in then let me know!
