CHAPTER ONE: Before the story Rosie of the Woodlands Rosie couldn't believe her eyes. Right in front of her were her parents, on the ground, lifeless. Behind her was an atrocious monster, about to get her too. All of a sudden, the monster burst into flames, but only it burned, not the rest of the house. As Rosie looked at the monster with terror, the monster disintegrated into ashes. She fell to the floor crying. A few minutes later, her neighbors came into the house to see what all the commotion was about, and to their horror, they found Rosie's parents dead, and Rosie crying. They started asking Rosie many questions, yet Rosie could not seem to answer them. Rosie stood up, wiping her eyes, and went to hug her neighbors. “Oh, sweetie, are you all right?” asked Mrs.Lopez. Rosie looked up at her and shook her head. Mr. Lopez picked up Rosie and carried her out the door, without a word. Mrs. Lopez had gone up stairs to pick up Rosie's belongings. AS they walked out the door, Rosie took one more look at her parents, knowing that that would be the last time seeing them. “Bye, mum and dad. Maybe I’ll see you again someday.” Rosie whispered as she was carried out the door. END OF CHAPTER ONE Yeah, it's kinda dark
