His parents, Flier and Cinder, were killed by a twoleg monster on the thunderpath when he was 6 moons old. He was left all by himself and lived in a small, abandoned badger den for another moon before trekking into NettleClan territory. He met a she-cat by the name Rain when he was about 15 moons old and they fell in love. He left her to protect her from himself before she could become any more attached to him, but he always regretted leaving her. In NettleClan's territory he was attacked by a hungry fox and escaped with his life, but was seriously injured. He was found by an apprentice named Berrypaw, who helped him with his wounds. When Berrypaw and Smolder were found by Berrypaw's eveil sister, Mintpaw. She blamed Berrypaw for attacking her and tried to get him exiled. Smolder convinced Berrypaw to bring him to his clan so he could talk with the leader, Snowstar. When they got to NettleClan, Mintpaw attacked them and injured Berrypaw. Smolder fought Mintpaw until Hazelpaw, Berrypaw's crush, came and stopped them. Later on, Smolder killed Mintpaw to save Berrypaw from her. Berrypaw and Hazelpaw decided to join Smolder as rogues, and they changed their names to Hazel and Berry. Smolder helped Berry get a crystal for Hazel, which broken, and his tongue slipped and he revealed things that he never wanted to get out about his dark past. He had done horrible things. He had never wanted Berry to find out about his dark side, but he knew he couldn’t keep it from him forever. (To be continued...)
