Research + other [] a overbite is when the top jaw is longer than the bottom its often caused by things such as failure to lose baby teeth, trauma to the face or jaw, having too many adult teeth in their mouth, etc. Some symptoms of having a overbite are wounds to gums from teeth striking inappropriately, difficulties while chewing, drooling, and some pieces of food left behind.
