A thing I did for my thumbnails, to hopefully let you see at a glance what type of project it is. Any key or tap to view the next one. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ✦ Tag Meanings ✦ ◦ Mobile-Friendly - project is 100% mobile-friendly ◦ Cloud Game - means that the game is cloud multiplayer, or relies heavily on the cloud service (not just for cloud highscores) ◦ Large Project - either the project uses a ton of assets, or takes a long while to finish (or both) ◦ 100% Pen - project is made 100% from pen ◦ Animation - project is an animation ◦ Flashing Lights - seizure warning for photosensitive users ◦ Demo/Unfinished - demos or unfinished builds of projects *still being worked on* ◦ Recovered - a project thought to be lost. ◦ Discontinued - a project that has been abandoned completely, and will not be picked up again.
✦ Why I Did This ✦ Back in 2022, I'd used a similar system for my projects, but no one really knew what it meant. It just ended up being a lot of explaining what the symbols meant, so I eventually stopped using it. I wanted to bring something like that back, but I wanted to have text labels so people knew what to expect. This was my solution! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- (The system I used before was @LilyMakesThings' Univeral Project Rating System, check it out here https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/545248672/ ) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ✦ Q&A ✦ ◦ Q: Where do I use the "Large Project" tag? A: You should use it in projects that have a ton of assets, and that take a reasonably powerful device to run. The tag basically means that a device like a phone/Chromebook may not be able to run it. ◦ Q: What's the difference between the "Unfinished" tag and the "Discontinued" tag? A: The first one is for projects you still plan on working on, while the second is for projects that you won't pick up again. ◦ Q: What if I need two tags that are on the same side of the screen? A: You should be able to just flip the text/image on one of them to the next one. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- #thumbnail #tags
