Here: Mr. Smiles is a god that uses their powers to entertain themself. He sees an object show while pretending to be a person and it’s entertaining, so he makes one! He sees the opportunity to show off his powers by spawning $1M. There’s this other god, known as Mr. Sad. They were friends with Mr. Smiles until he trapped him into a yellow void with a baseplate to keep him from falling. Mr. Smiles makes this the place where he keeps the eliminated contestants. In order to keep them from escaping, Mr. Smiles has Mr. Sad’s teleportation powers not work at all. All he can do is spawn stuff.
