Description

heres everything i wanna say about it for now (I update this sometimes, last update on 2/13/25): - it will exist fr fr - it's a game - it will be the biggest and coolest thing I've ever made - The game is meant to remind you that you are loved. - This is the main "Christian" part of the game, but Flap is also there being his usual Christian self so there's that too. It's like a bunch of friends genuinely trying to cheer you up and hang out with you, and not in a cringey way. - i don't wanna say much about it directly because that puts a lot of pressure on me like other projects have - it may be my last big thing on scratch idk lol - i (don't) know where you live (canon) - uhhhh - it contains tons of references to my past projects, with returning characters (some you know, like Flap and Bob, and some you might not) - also references to other games i like, even outside of scratch - it canonically takes place in the distant future IRL (kinda) in an alternate timeline, but isn't impossibly unrealistic to have happened except for some parts maybe - the viewer is canon to the project and also the main character - i am a character in the project - my character is an over-exaggerated self-insert for the most part, I'm trying to make it not cringe lol (impossible) - my (user)name is in the title - i am very egotistical (kinda in the game, but i feel egotistical making this project too because it's very self-indulgent) - it has lore - the lore isn't completely solid and consistent tho because i don't wanna stress about it too much (might break the 4th wall for funsies but it would totally break the immersion and lore so idk lol, maybe i'll compromise and build walls around the 4th wall so i can still break it) - some lore has already been revealed/canonically happened here on Scratch, you just might not know it yet - i am writing all of this because i feel like if i don't tell anyone these ideas i have i am going to spontaneously combust. some of this is subject to change though - my IRL friend is helping me a little bit with ideas and some art and such - if you do enough digging in the teaser you can probably figure out exactly what it is. if you know, you know - there will be human character(s) (this includes you) - the title of the project probably starts with an ‘F’ and ends with an ‘s’. - the project's tone is very different from my other projects. it's still trying to be very funny, though and i'd argue that it'll be the funniest thing i've ever made - it has a definite start and an end, but it's impossible to speedrun because of the way the game is structured. - the game will take about an hour to 100% from start to finish, assuming you're exceptionally good at it - it uses 2.5D vector graphics, sometimes using Blender for reference - I wanna include widescreen support in addition to Scratch's normal stage size via TurboWarp, (might make this an update instead of it being there day 1 because of how complicated this would be) - this game isn't planned to have content updates post-launch. I'll update to fix bugs and might rewrite code or some small visual things but that's about it - it's highly remixable because I made the framework in a very adaptable way. technical debt is basically nonexistent. i really like how the menus work in particular - the art is gonna take forever lol - once you beat it, you unlock an extras menu, including a lengthy slideshow detailing the development process and how the game reflects its inspiration - if the project gets too big for Scratch, I might move the extras menu somewhere else. the game will be shared on Scratch though, no matter what because that's where it's most relevant - the code uses lots of overly complicated lists and clones. the main systems for the game depend entirely on lists, and is part of why it's so remixable. one system in particular is comically complex with a bunch of text and list item manipulation when it could've been much simpler lol, i wish i could show you - falp.
