"The idea was pitched by one of our lower-grade scientists. Said scientist was often found playing Terraria on the job instead of finishing his research. The idea, however, was interesting enough to experiment with. The sentience process was routine, but what surprised us was that the newly-formed slime was perfectly fine with what she is and where she came from. She... erm... doesn't really *worry* at all. She enjoys eating less intelligent, "natural" slimes, and doesn't seem to care about slime life other than herself. She's made a lot of friends since we began monitoring her. She considers her shapeshifting abilities very useful, and she... basically just uses them whenever she wants.
