Scattered. A werewolf story. Many many hundreds of moons ago...The thick humidity of summer filled the night air. The sky was blanketed with the stars, the forest bathed in the dappled moonlight. The humid night could've been perfect if not for Lycaon. The silvery moon hung high and full in the sea of midnight, but few wolves dared venture out in their home-wood that night. Danger was imminent, they were most vulnerable in their shifted form. Ever since his exile, Lycaon...grew sick and twisted with a forbidden power...one that threatened the pack, and the strays. Magic isnt in abundance, but it is strewn upon our world and used by those who wish to harness it. If one seeks too much however, it consumes them. The elder wolves, the mother wolves, and all and any that could help gathered together, too weak to end Lycaon for good... But with all of their scattered magic ending up being able to trap him in a state he would be trapped in until disturbed. They hid him deep, intertwined in the secrets of the pack, his story growing into a cautionary tale for young pups. The devastating events on the pack, boiled down to a mere fairytale.
I took a lot of Inspiration from a book called The Devouring Wolf. It has some major differences but if you like this go check it out.
