*****EXPLAINATION***** So, If you want to Pokemon battle me in scratch (not in a project just in any chat) we will have to make some rules, so that's what this Project is about! *****PRE-FIGHT***** -Regional Gimmicks At the start of the battle, the players will have to decide if they are using, and what, regional gimmick they are using. (Ex. Mega evoloution, Terastalizing, etc.) -TMs You will have to decide if you are using TM moves before the battle. -Pokemon You will decide how many Pokemon you are using, and if needed, what generation they are from. Also decide if Ultra beasts, Legendaries, Mythicals, and different forms of Pokemon are allowed. -Chances You will have to decide what number you are using for success in chance-based moves. Usually use 1. *****RULES***** -Health So, regarding health, each pokemon has a base of 4 health, and if you are Gigantamaxed, Terastalized, or Mega Evolved, it gives you +2 max health. -Ace Pokemon There is allowed 1 ace pokemon per person, per battle, and instead of 4 base health, they have 6. ***BATTLING*** -Turns The pokemon with the highest base speed goes first, INCLUDING if the pokemon uses a priority move. -Status Effects If a pokemon uses a move that can inflict a status effect, then you must roll that chance on a die. Sleep and Frozen are not allowed. Also, if your pokemon is paralyzed, you must also roll to see if you can move. Same with flinching. Poison and Burning status effects take away 1/2 of a hit point each turn for 3 turns. There is a 25% chance that if you are paralyzed you can't move; it also lasts 3 turns. -Held items Held items will not be allowed, as things like leftovers contribute such a small amount that it would be difficult to maintain, remember we are trying to keep this fun and relatively quick. -Moves You can only use moves that the Pokemon you are battling with can learn. If you are using TMs, then those are also accounted for. (Also bred moves) -PP Normally, in Pokemon when you use a move it uses 1 PP, which you get a set amount of that differentiates for each move, however, we will not be using the PP system for these battles. (I was so scared the ST would remove this lol) -Dealing Damage When you go to attack, the first thing that you have to consider is if it has a power over 100, If it has over 100 power, then it instead has 1.5 Base damage, instead of 1. Another is type advantages. If the move is: Super effective: x2 Base damage Normally effective: x1 Base damage Not very effective: x1/2 Base damage If you are using a Regional gimmick that has dedicated moves (Terastalizing, Giganta/Dynamaxing or Z-Moves), then the base damage is 1.5, regardless of actual in-game power. -1-Hit moves Moves such as guillotine or sheer cold both have a 10% percent chance of a one-hit KO. -Changing stats with moves You cannot lower or raise stats with moves, to prevent complexity. -Items There will be no items, to prevent them from adding complexity and spamming. -Abilities If you are using abilities, then those work normally, excluding ones that heal, do damage, or raise/lower stats. *****EXTRAS***** -Revival Blessing You cannot use moves that revive other Pokemon. *****CONCLUSION***** Phew, that was a lot, If there was anything you think I missed, then tell me in the comments! This took a lot of time, so if you could consid- nah nvm I'm not doing that cringy thing so heart and star if u want, I'm not your mom lol
