During his first few moons in NewClan, he meets a fighter named Pondfish, though he soon shows his annoying side and they become enemies. He also bumps into Straightspire one night near his apprenticeship and the overseer encourages his loyalty to the clan's rules and Frigidstar's leadership. Nutmegkit and Buttercupkit meet, and the two of them form a connection almost immediately, starting a friendship. ↪ adolescence / apprenticeship // Nutmegpaw is made a fighter apprentice by Frigidstar along with his friend Buttercuppaw, and on his first trip out of camp he meets a hunter named Frogsnarl, who teaches him some tricks on steath despite not being a fighter. Later, Nutmegpaw goes on an adventure to find a frozen pond in the territory, bumping into Clickpaw, and the two of them go on the adventure together. He makes an enemy out of Venturepaw as well and has an argument with Twilightpaw over a flower. While practicing his sneaking skills, he encounters Applespike and the older fighter compliments his stealth, although Nutmegpaw accidentally almost fell out of a tree while sneaking around.
