The following animation includes flashes, implied ab*se, alcohol and drug usage, minor nudity (nothing serious guys dw I wouldn’t do that I swear) mental illness, and visuals and themes that may be potentially upsetting to/inappropriate for some viewers. My animatics would generally be considered 13+. Omg guys I made a dark animatic that didn’t involve any gore or violence (minus the image at the end) I’m so proud of myself :D Going easy on the blood is a struggle for me This was a relatively simple animation and I spent less than a week on it, but I had a lot of fun and it was nice to just make something for gits and shiggles while staying in my comfort zone. (The animation itself took four or five days but I waited a few days to post it) This was also a great way to hype myself up regarding Diverged now that I’m working on it again. The characters all have new designs and I’m currently trying to fix all of the gaps or inconsistencies that were present before. The character featured is Ametrine who holds the title of Secondary Prince (the Secondary House is basically just a backup family for the Royal line). While I won’t go into his lore for the sake of your free time and because this is a kids’ site at the end of the day, I will say that he does not have a good time. He’s a survivor and very mentally unwell (due to life experience and genetics), making him susceptible to alcoholism and drug usage, both of which he indulges in despite getting specifically told not to do so by a health professional for his safety and the safety of those in proximity to him. That’s essentially all you have to know to understand the animatic, as it’s just a snippet of his backstory for funsies. People with genetic depression go wild in the comments section <3 On another note, I highly recommend finding the short this is from; SHOP: A Pop Opera by Jack Stauber and watching it. It’s only about 13 minutes and is worth the watch!
