I was thinking about how lucky Tucker was to have a sister like Ringo when I remembered Birch. I also remembered how sick she was when we left. She was in no shape to have been left like that, and if these stupid gems didn't tell me to travel, then I'd still be with my sister. Birch is probably dying, and now I can't help her. I'm banking on Shansu to help her, but if I didn't leave her like that, I wouldn't have to. I'm so frustrated with myself, and I tried to tell Tucker that I'm done, but he convinced me that Shansu would and will save Birch with her own life. It hurts, but I've been irritable to everyone, even Tucker. I want to say sorry, but it doesn't feel right. Nothing feels right. The only thing that feels right is coming home and helping Birch.
