Each color on the table represents a certain family of elements. The reddish colored ones are the alkali metals. The orange ones are the alkali earth metals. The yellows are transition metals, and the greens are ordinary/basic metals. The aqua elements are the semi-metals, and the blue ones are non-metals. The grey ones are halogens. The purple ones are the noble gasses, and the blueish and pinkish ones at the bottom are the rare earths. The blueish rare earths are lanthanides, and the pinkish rare earths are the actinides.
