So I guess I’ll return with a story, I thought your character could be taken over by nature, So I guess while you character is in the forest, tree spirits that hide in the forest pity your character and offer them magic to help creatures in the forest that would (probably) accept her. She accepts and the spirits give her a different look with a few dead branches on her body, sort of like a corruption or virus that spreads but not in a bad way, when it spreads her magic grows.
