The Macrocosm-Extraction-Machine, or M.E.M, is the pinnacle of Amalgamate technology. Much of the wreck was found in a desecrated state, carbon dated to be much older than the founding of the Amalgamate. It has required much of the resources not dedicated to the war effort, but it has proven to be a great resource and money earning gigastructure. It was built around a relatively small universe. The gigastructure will eventually wear out the universe and whittle it down to a point around a few hundred kilometers across, which will then shut the structure down as it is too small to safely extract energy from. However, that point is far off within the future, and this gigastructure can safely extract and be a major player within our economy for a while. Several small space ports space stations have been established close by and connected to the station by flux nodes and power streams, which feed into on station energy to matter machines that can be sold off and traded. Several Nisitian and Amalgamate ships and companies have paid for and are docked at the stations. Currently, only one of these exist, as the resources needed to produce one from scratch, even with the help of the already existing one, is too much for even our industry to handle, even more so during the war time economy.
