Today at 03:00 16,498 UAC paratroopers of the 15th Airborne division began jumping over the city of Jing Kong, Naidun. Initial casualties from hitting buildings, choking in tangled parachutes, and other hazards of landing in a tight space were high. At least 67 cats died during the landings. No UAC aircraft were successfully shot down during this first wave. This changed when 12,856 cats of the 13th Airborne Division flew in via helicopter and started landing on the island. At 07:30 multiple SAM sites opened up, hitting 34 Helicopters and in the end destroying 28 of those, with the other 6 crash landing either in the river or on the island. 762 UAC paratroops were killed or wounded within the first 8 hours of the fighting, and before troops even made contact on the ground. This however, was still not enough of the fighting force to actually stop UAC forces, who successfully landed all 80 of their M90AFV50 vehicles, the top priority during the landing. UAC delta force operatives were reportedly sighted by locals but so far no pictures have come out.
