TW of death and blood and crazy stuff for the story below Moon clutched the body of someone she never met, silver tears of the sky falling through the eyeholes of her mask and soaking the simple clothes this peasant wore. The shifting of wings, then a swish of a tail was heard. Moon dared not look at the source of the sound, for her anger and rage and disgust and hate would only emerge. She did not want to betray her normally understanding and sincere persona. "They're just humans on the outskirts of an unimportant universe, in an unimportant time, in an unimportant world," a deep voice, the sound of the grave itself, said. "That's... that's not the point, Kavrot," Moon said, adding emphasis at the last word. "Why does it matter? They mean nothing, Moon. Nothing." "They were innocent, Kavrot! They did nothing wrong to you!" He chuckled, and Moon glanced over at the massive brown beast, and he moved slightly. "Why do you care so much for... life?" A brief plight of worry flashed over her mind, the fear of it possibly being something similar to the curse Arcanus had been forced to endure for the rest of his life, but the fear was discarded. What it was replaced with, however, was far worse. "You... you did this... because you wanted to, right?" "Of course. Why else would I do it?" "Arcanus..." she mumbled. "Don't compare me to that wretch of a being," Kavrot snarled, turning tail to her. "What a pathetic waste." Moon closed her eyes, silence engulfing them for minutes. Nothing but the wind dared to speak. Cracks and pops were the only thing that brought Moon back to reality, and as she opened her eyes, she wish she hadn't. The poor humans had begun to... shift. Fingers stretched, physiology morphed, and they reawakened, life back in their eyes. But it wasn't the loving kindness of a human. No, no. These were the eyes of something... new. "Good." Kavrot bluntly stated. "Very good." Horrified, Moon dropped the human, now shifting and crawling. "What did you do to them?!" Kavrot laughed, a laugh to rake the bottom of hope out of men's souls. "They are like me now. They are..." He thought for a moment, all six of his eyes in thought. "... I don't know what to call them yet. Help me, Moon. Name my soldiers." She turned around, hardly wanting to see the horrors that awaited. Screeching and chirping greeted her, and the awful visage of the new beasts. "Bats." she whispered. "They look like bats." "Oh... how beautiful. Yes, I will call them bats."

Description

@AquamarineDraws for original lineart and CC, me for story/lineart modding/coloring/character, the song is Gasoline by Halsey (clean version), and lastly, because im essentially not capable of drawing backgrounds cuz they are hard, so it's from pinterest one day i won't mod the lineart and use a pinterest background. one day also fun fact! the primary color i used is pantone 448, which is considered the ugliest color ever. quite fitting for the Lord of Rot himself, eh?
