Lines due March 16 ~ <Black> Pearl: Wake up!!! <Room 27. Diamond is asleep> Diamond (complaining): Pearl! It's WAY to early! Can't you wake me up later? Pearl (desperate): No, I can't. You HAVE to hear this! Diamond (reluctant): (sigh) Fine. What is it? Pearl (excited): There's a spy! In the basement underneath the school! Diamond(unconvinced): (sigh) You REALLY think I'd believe that? Pearl (excited): Yes! It's so interesting! I want to- Opal (awkwardly): Umm.. there's an assembly happening soon. You two should probably get ready. Pearl (neutral): Oh. Okay. <Assembly Hall. Madame Topaz is on stage. The school captains, Jasper and Jade, are standing next to her.> Madame T (cheery): Good morning, students! Amethyst (annoyed): (sigh) Not you again. Madame T (informative): ... Anyway, as you all have probably heard, an unknown figure has been spotted in Gemstone High's basement. Jasper and Jade, our school captains, have received the updates about this... issue. Jade (awkwardly): Well... here's.. the thing. Jasper (guiltily): Nobody has been able to locate any of them. Madame T (shocked): Wait, there's more than one of them? Jade (guiltily, but honestly): At least two of them. Madame T (informative): Oh. Well, for the time being, nobody is allowed in the school basements until the area is clear. Pearl (panicked): No!!! <everyone stares at her> Pearl (awkwardly): I mean... smart decision. I guess. <After the assembly, in the hallway> Aquamarine (confused): Well, that was weird. "More than one of them"? Opal (pondering): I know, right? I wonder who it is... Amethyst (annoyed): Isn't it obvious? Opal(clueless): .. no. Amethyst(surprised): Seriously?? It's Princess Crystal, obviously! She's mad because DIAMOND took her spot at Gemstone High, and she's trying to get her back! Opal (shocked): WHAT?? How did you find that out? Amethyst (irritated): Come ON. She took the princess's spot and put EVERYONE in danger!! Aquamarine (puzzled): But wasn't it an accident? I don't think Diamond would try to do that. Amethyst (frustrated nobody believes her): Still! Because of her, we're all vulnerable! Amber (knowledgeable): To be fair, Amethyst, we still don't know if it is Crystal, so I wouldn't jump to conclusions if I were you. Amethyst (tired): <sigh> Maybe we should just get to breakfast. Amber (logically): Maybe we should. <breakfast> Pearl (excited): So, when should we sneak out and find the spy? Diamond (doubting): Pearl, I still think this is a bad idea. Pearl (persisting): Oh, of course you do. Someone always does. So, how? Emerald (suggesting): Well, I don't know, sneak out at night, when nobody's watching? Pearl (happy): Good idea! Let's do that! Diamond (whispering, annoyed): Really, Emerald? Emerald (whispering, trying to cover up): I didn't think she would actually agree! Diamond (whispering, still frustrated): But she did. So now what? Emerald (innocent): Well, sorry! Pearl (excited): So, who else is excited? Ruby (also excited): I am! Just wait until I tell everyone and they get annoyed THEY didn't think to do this! Diamond (reluctant): Oh great. I guess that means we have to do it, then. Pearl (happy): Well, obviously! Ruby (announcing, proud): Everyone! I'm going on an adventure! Aquamarine (in awe): Really? Lucky! Emerald (annoyed): RUBY. Ruby (embarrassed): Oops. Sorry, guys. Aquamarine (daydreaming): An adventure sounds so cool. I wish I could do something like that. I would if I could, but I'm here, so I guess I can't. Amethyst (sarcastic): Gee, good to know. Diamond (worried): Look, I really don't think this is a good idea, Pearl. Pearl (countering): Well, we all do. So there. You have to. Diamond (reluctant): <sigh> Fine. <night. Diamond and Pearl have snuck out of their room> Pearl (excited): This is so cool! I hope we find the spies! Diamond: And I hope we DON'T. They could easily hurt us. Pearl: Well, your opinion. I'm still taking the risk. <Ruby and Emerald arrive> Ruby: We're here! Let's go! <they enter a door, going down stairs leading to a dark tunnel> Emerald: Where is everything? Pearl: Don't worry - I brought a torch! <She turns it on. They follow the tunnel> Emerald: This is so weird. Why are there so many turns? Diamond: Possibly to do with architectural issues, and do you really want to have this conversation right now? Emerald: Never mind, then. <They are still going> Ruby: This tunnel is like a... Spiral? Emerald: Well, there HAS to be a reason. I know it. Diamond: It's probably just a coincidence, I wouldn't get too- (she hits a wall) Ouch. What is that? Emerald: Uh, guys? Pearl: What is it? Emerald: We've hit a dead end. <End Ep 3>
