How I wrote it I started with the first two lines randomly, then decided "a random fox waiting for random prey is boring" so I decided on and In-Between fox waiting for souls Then I wrote the second stanza in great detail and mystery Then I decided, let's make it a human girl, and let's make humans rare. Then I realized there was no reason for humans to be rare, and I had no reason for souls to be traveling, so i remember Elysium from Greek mythology Then I started the fox asking the girl for her story so the fox could get her energy And I realized the girl no reason to be off the path, so I came up with her story. And I continued to make the story And continued and decided the fox should feel sympathy, and a hundred years because a thousand makes the fox sound cruel
