Ok ok so I really like this drawing. The background, the contrast, everything. I feel like I’ve just recently started actually thinking my art is the absolute best I can do. Like when I look at it, I can’t see any obvious flaws, which is new for me. Someone else would probably be able to see lots of flaws, but I’m happy with it. Just thinking about how far my art has come gives me hope that I could achieve my goals for the future. Anyways, sorry for the rant. I channeled my inner spiderverse and tried something different for the background, and I really like how it turned out. I used a square brush with varying sizes and opacities and made it fade from dark to light as it got closer. I also made a conscious effort to add as much detail as possible, like in the bricks and the little lights in the background. I hope you like it!! Click to enlarge.
