They were shot down aswell for being used as target practice. Pikoli (meh Star Wars Sona) found them clinging onto life after checking out the village in ruins to see if there was any survivors. After feeling pity for Twilight, Pikoli took them back to their workshop and she and her mouse droid patched them up with spare droid parts. After Twilight woke up, they could speak, think for themself, move, and even could see, hear, think, and balance better. They were obviously scared and confused, but Pikoli reassured them that they were safe.
