─── • ☆ • ─── flicker's 2023 art summary ─ Okay, wow. I can't believe it's been a year since 2022. I've done a lot of art since January, and I'm proud to say that I have definitely improved in my art skills, as you can see. Back in January, I had no concept of cat anatomy, though I had just gotten the hang of rendering my art pieces. Since then, I've gotten better at having a more consistent style and better (more realistic) anatomy, though my shading and lighting skills have gone down. Anyway, on to the art! ─── • ☆ • ─── • January this was for OTA payments for my sister, @Vi0let_M1st! I had just figured out a rendering style, and I'm honestly still quite proud of the lighting, though not the face anatomy. • February this was a rendering test using my character, Brook! I still don't like the way I used to do faces, but other than that I think it looks fine • March I was very proud of this art back when I made it, and I'm still quite proud of it now. It was for a studio thumbnail • April an icon that I used as a pfp for a while! I still really like it, especially the way I did the lighting and shading • May a reference for one of my characters. I don't like the way I drew the body, but I do mostly like the face. the design is pretty cool • June the thumbnail for my Tempest application! I do not like the way I did the eyes, but I think the fur went really well and the lighting is decent • July my computer background. I still use it, and I think the art is pretty good. I love the colors on it • August a design for a DTA I hosted. The DTA itself ended up a failure, but I got to keep the design which makes me very happy. I was trying to figure out how to draw legs, and I made them too long, but it's an improvement from my previous art • September Tempest's second reference! the legs are still weird, but I mostly like how the face turned out. not my best work, but still okay • October Pine, my truesona! I still like the art, and I think that this is when my art style really became what it is now. • November a scene practice. I definitely need to work on my backgrounds • December Wildfirekit!
