WASD or Arrow Keys to move. Pressing E will interact with stuff. (Such like using fishing rods or using an object up-close.) Fish up children and steal their remnant using the machine in the corner. You can only have 5 of the same child type in your capacity during the first time you play, but it will be upgraded if you get enough remnant and wait for the day to end to buy some of that good stuff.
