⚠️ SPOILER WARING FOR REBELS AND MOVIES 1-3 OF STAR WARS. DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THEM ⚠️ So. It’s pretty obvious that Ezra could be consumed by the dark side. However, a lot of people see that his connection to Kanan and the rest of the group keeps him from turning into a sith apprentice, but it’s not entirely true. When using the sith prism, you could see the changes in him just by speaking to a dark force user, most notably his eyes changing color, short temper, changing his blaster to shoot to kill instead of stun, becoming more aggressive and reckless with his actions, and becoming much more distant from everyone else. And I quote: “i don’t need *inset something here because I forgor*. Just like I don’t need you.”. That was directed towards Kanan, his own master, and his own (basically) family member. They have the strongest connection, and the fact that he said that just boosts his anger more. I personally think what Maul did to Kanan has really boosted that spirit of anger and revenge, and the feeling of betrayal, which is a quick path to the dark side. In either episode 1-2 of season 3, Ezra reveals to the Pyramid that he’s doing all of this for him friends and (basically) family, just like what Anakin Skywalker did. Anakin turned to the dark side because he was trying to save Padimae (idk how to spell her name brrr) from a painful death. It’s kind of the same thing with Ezra; he’s trying to save his friends and family from danger. Now one more thing. You may be wondering who would possibly take Ezra in for training, not the empire of course because he’s extremely against it. But a couple episodes earlier, Maul offered to train Ezra himself, and he would be the perfect master if he did turn to the dark side. Hahaha, I know Ezra won’t turn to the dark side! First of all, the writers would just wright “Anakin: part two” instead of actually plot, and second of all, we all know that Ezra’s kindness and compassion outweighs his desire for power. He still has work to do, but he won’t turn to the dark side. I think.
