What if...the Darkness had another tric̷̥͐k̷̳̠̰͊̚͝ up its endless sleeve? Entry #188: The Darkness has now evolved up to its 2̶̟̬̀7̷̼̐͋ṫ̴͓h̸̳͐͂͜ mutation. Not only can it resurrect corpses and capture souls living in p̷̰͛̚ā̶̙̤̀r̷̼͝à̷̘̅d̸̟̻̊̃ȋ̵͖͐ś̸̬͍͝e̴̛̜̓, but it now has recently unleashed a new strain of the virus for what we will for now refer to as the "Light." Studies from the United Nations have shown that this new strain first appeared in [̷͖́R̴͌͜E̸͚̊D̸̟̈́(̷̰̐ḫ̶͛)̴̝̅Ḁ̵́C̵̮͝(̵̼̃e̴͗ͅa̵͕̓)̴̜́Ť̵̘E̶̱͠(̸̖̔e̵̪̅v̵̩̋n̵͕̂)̴͓̉D̸͔̀]̸̤̎. It acts just like the Darkness, but contracts through the air and can even absorb itself through the skin. There are currently 10 million victims infected with the new strain. While they don't seem to show the same symptoms as the Darkness gives to its victims, the victims have been reported to have massive volumes of inactive Darkness inside their bodies, constant vomiting, fatigue, near blindness, and an uncomfortable tug in their mouths that seem to urge them to smile continuously. While this new strain may not be as deadly as the Darkness, we will continue to research it, as nothing in the world is safe anymore.
