It's been weeks since I've been invited to a great party. I'm grateful that Lord X has invited me and other entities into this huge party. "This party will be the biggest one that I've created yet, ol' boy." Lord X spoke, slightly laughing wholeheartedly. I glanced at Lord X, noticing his happiness showing, which is something that I rarely see in him since he's such a terrifying entity that anyone will know. "How so? This is just as ordinary as all of your parties that you made in the past." I questioned, my low voice hinting curiosity. I saw Lord X having a glow in his red eyes as he looked at me. "You'll see, my boy. There's someone that I've raised in deep secret and she'll be the brightest star in your night sky." I scoffed immediately at Lord X's response, knowing myself well that I can't fall for his secretly raised daughter even if she was just as beautiful as he said that she is. Then, the lights dimmed inside of the huge lobby room. I looked upon the huge disco ball that seemed to be very, very bigger than any disco ball that I've seen. There, sitting on the disco ball was a feminine figure, looking down upon the entire room and everyone in it. "Let's get the party started!" The female voice boomed through the speakers. My ears then became slightly sensitive to the loudness. Then, the disco ball lowered to slight ground level and the spotlights fell onto the female, revealing that it was none other than Nova X. Lord X then elbowed me, grinning at me with his cheeky eyes. "Good luck, my boy. If you need me then I will be talking with Sonic.EXE and having a few party desserts with him. With that, he vanished into the crowd of party guests, leaving me alone. I've heard some things about Nova, hearing that she has a swing to her personality and the way she communicates. Even I heard that she can sometimes be...somewhat flirty...and that's what slightly scares me about her. Amidst the crowd, Nova sauntered through the carpet path, being followed by other people since she apparently was a popular figure to them. It made me deeply nervous, the way she was super confident in her decisions and thinks that it will be okay if something slips up. Then, she walked towards me, having a smirk on her face as if she saw my anxious attitude. "Why so nervous? You must be very new here if you act all so scared of being in a party atmosphere." Nova responded, cooing at me teasingly. I tried to speak, but all of my words fell into stutters of nervousness. I have never failed horribly in talking to a person. "Do you need anything to drink, you look like you're about to have a panic attack." Nova then took me to the drink area, getting me a cold bottle of water. I immediately took it, drinking the water as if my life depended on it. "Thank you. You must be...Lord X's daughter, right?" "The one and only, sweetheart." Nova smiled, her crimson rose lips curling upwards. I flashed a smile before quickly returning to drinking my water. "What's your name, sweetheart? I think you look like somebody that I should know." Nova asked, her smirk returning to her playful look. I placed down my water, seeming to be already motivated by her question of who I am. "It's Sundown Shadow, the Vampire Lifeform." I spoke, grimly smiling to the point that my fangs appeared. "Oh, I heard about you constantly from my father. He doesn't really shut his mouth when the thought of you comes to his head." Nova replied, clearly not affected by my attempt at intimidating. "Lord X talks about me huh? I'm quite surprised by that since nobody would dare talk about me." I then looked at Nova, catching that she has a playful idea that came to her mind, and I wasn't prepared for what her mouth will say. "Why don't I call you Sunny, sweetheart? I have known you for long enough to call you a cute nickname." Nova spoke, her smirking smile and her voice of playfulness completely catching me off guard. I spat out my water a bit, very surprised by how Nova was being so nice that she would be willing to call me something like "Sunny". It made me blush deeply, my heart pounding so hard that it could stop at any second. "Y-You what?! You w-want to c-call me S-Sunny?! I-I mean, sure b-but...are you sure about th-that?!" Nova smiled at me, putting an arm around my shoulder and pulling me close to her as if I was hers. "Of course I'm sure, Sunny. Confidence is the main key to a positive and assuring answer." Nova responded playfully, petting my quills. "Oh great heavens...I need to leave right now. Tell your father that I will be going home now...thank you." I then broke away from Nova, having a bright red face and leaving the party quickly. This party night was something that I cannot forget no matter how badly I wanted to. -THE END-
