I decided to start working on Tales from the Fade again, but with some more thought put into it. Its stance on my priority list remains the same, as it is not a top priority for me at all, and chapters may come out extremely slowly, and not very frequently or scheduled. I decided to make some references for the characters, since I needed more of a character sheet to get colors right and stuff. These are the official designs :) Some info on the characters and how the ref sheets will work: - As characters age, they will get updated references. Unless they die. - I'm trying to keep character designs as simplistic as possible, as I don't want to have to draw complex designs over and over again, since that would be an absolute pain. However, I'm not opposed to SOME complex designs. The simplicity will also help with knowing who's related. - There are different races in this comic, the different races of non-hybrids being your regular day-to-day animals, like cats, rabbits, foxes, etc...but if two different animals had children they would create hybrids, and their whole family would be banished. Hybrids are their own race entirely, and can vary into MANY different animals. The kind of hybrid the children end up being can either be completely random or dependent on the parents. It's a 50/50 chance. - Some characters may not have sexualities because they're either a literal child that's too young to have one orrr I just plain don't know what I want their sexuality to be, so it's essentially up in the air. - The animals age by human years, so it would take 18 years for a child to be an adult. I'm not going by warrior cats moons for the sake of, again, simplicity. - Hybrid's blood are the same color as their eyes, that's why Clem and Jude's blood has color and Rhys and Rosemary do not have any blood coloring. Their noses and paws can also be the same color as their eyes, but if they're only half a hybrid then they can have normal colored pawprints or half-and-half :) For friends explicitly (@BrightwaterDraws and @-Sunset_Katelyn- and anyone else who'd like to consider joining in): You guys have the luxury of creating your own characters for the comics! I'll even add my version of their design to the ref sheets, and I'll find a way to include them in the comics somehow, but I'll need a good amount of information of the characters from you guys. I'm only accepting 1 character per person though, to keep the comic from overflowing with characters. :D Anyways that's basically it! Hope the designs are ok and let me know your thoughts.
