In my region, a scientist recovered a special item called a Glitched Shark Scale (named after a Gameshark).The player would receive this item, and if they obtained an Old Amber or a Dome Fossil and used the scale on it, it would say, "The fossil was altered. Entries: Land MissingNo. was an infamous and famous Pokemon in the past. Touching its body creates a tingling sensation. This Pokemon has terrible defenses, but amazing physical offense. Sea It is a mostly forgotten specimen these years. It is very difficult to restore properly, and many say that's because it's already improper. Sky MissingNo. is covered in star-speckled purple patches that aren't solid at all, and much of the people who've seen it speculate that those are the result of it tearing apart the space-time continuum. Other Notes: You alter an Aerodactyl or Kabuto fossil because of MissingNo.'s Fossil Forms, which resemble Aerodactyl and Kabutops. On the top of its body, between the orange bands, you can see Ghost's face, A-Fossil's head, and K-Fossil's scythe. The item to get it, the Glitched Shark Scale, is based on a Gameshark, which I think can be used to force certain Pokemon to appear (including Glitched ones). It's Flying type because it's Bird type. The land entry's last line is because of MissingNo.'s Red/Blue stats, where its Defense is 0 and its Attack is 136.
