Nutcracker clones were a type of phase 1 Clone used during the Wookiee celebration of Life Day, the Wookiee equivalent of Christmas. Life Day was celebrated by all the Wookiees, even those offworld. The celebration consisted of getting super high on local, uhhh, plants, and then “visiting their ancestors”. It was a very integral part of Wookiee culture, and when the Grand Army of the Republic needed to protect their furry allies, they did it with a very festive armor pattern.
