And here I am now, trying to save my cousin from a Spider cult member. I watch Lyra take a shot at her enemy. The girl completely ducks under the arrow, avoiding it. “Hannah! Listen to me!“ She shouts. Hannah is her twin sister. She holds a grudge, and blames Lyra for everything that happened to her. She completely ignores Lyra´s words, and goes for a kick- right at her shin. Lyra ducks under and attempts to slide under Hannah, but she stomps on my cousin´s leg, stopping her in her tracks. I slowly walk behind Hannah, making sure she doesn't see me. I halt about a foot behind her, and she steps off of Lyra, to whirl around and face me. Before she can do a thing, I grab Hannah´s wrist and yank her backwards. She lets out a gasp of surprise. Then within seconds, she had spit acid right onto my arm. I lose my grip on her wrist and stumble backwards. The acid isn't on my arm anymore, but it left a mark. And oh heavens, it burns. I try to reach over my shoulder to grab my spear, but I stop and grunt in pain. She nailed the outer side of my elbow. Every movement hurts, and it hurts bad. By the time I recovered, she already had me in her grasp. I gasp as she grabs my injured arm, and yanks me backwards. She shoves me onto the ground, and I land on my side with a thud. I try to get up, but my right leg suddenly starts to burn. I gasp as the acid drips down the side. I kick her shin with my injured leg in a desperate panic. She stumbles backwards, growling like a feral dog. I push myself back to my feet, fighting the pain in my leg. Hannah stumbles as an arrow lodges itself in her back. Lyra has her bow aimed, loaded with another arrow. I pull out my spear, and aim it at Hannah. She suddenly dashes past me, trying to escape. Lyra takes off after her, but stops abruptly as I gasp and fall over. She stuck my leg to the ground with webs. She pulls me to my feet, and undoes the web. Hannah´s gone now, thankfully. Lyra notices the acid burns, and starts fussing over me. “What did she do to you?! You're getting medical care. Come on.“ She grabs my good arm, and half drags me over to her campsite. “Lyra I´m fi-“ She puts a finger over my mouth before I can finish speaking. “No you're not. There´s no talking your way out of this one.“ She continues to lead me towards the medical tent. Lyra forces me to lay down once we enter. I try to push myself up, but my injured arm gives in to the pain of the burn. I fall back down onto the sleeping bag, and give up on trying to get up. I close my eyes, and let Lyra fuss over me. Lumi walks in, and glances at me. “Oh heavens-“ She looks at Lyra, and asks, “What happened?“ “...Hannah.“ Lyra replies. “Again?“ Lumi looks partially horrified. “Mhm-“ Lyra coughs, and continues to try and patch me up, fussing the whole time. “God damnit Emilia- You're going to get yourself killed one of these days…“ Her hand brushes the hair out of my face. She pulls me to sit straight up, and then hugs me, whispering in my ear, “Never do that again. I can't lose you too…“ “Lyra…“ I try to soothe her. “I'm not going anywhere.“ “Wrong. You're coming with me.“ A new voice comes from behind us. “Emilia is going with me.“ The lady standing there has orange hair, and the royal´s crown. Claudia. Kalaria´s very own empress, trying to kidnap a goddess? Lyra shoves me backwards, being overprotective. “She's higher than you'll ever be! You have no right to even be here!“ Lumi stares at her older sister in shock. “You can't!“ “Oh, yes I can.“ She touches her hand to the ground, and everything freezes in front of my very eyes. Even Lyra and Lumi are frozen. I get up to try and run, but I'm hit with a tranquilizer dart. I fall limp to the ground, and Claudia slings me over her shoulder. I'm captured, once again.
