~Chapter 1~ (Storm and Star) Starlight opened her wings, crouched, and launched off the ground. She breathed in the fresh night air. Stars-that were actually the speckles of wings-were glinting in the sky. "Hey Starry, how are you doing?" A familiar voice asked. "Storm, I told you to stop calling me that. 'Starry' sounds like a daydreaming dragon," Starlight complained. Storm was a SeaWing-NightWing hybrid, and Starlight's best friend. Storm had a tail like a SeaWing, but instead of SeaWing colors, it was black. He had glow-in-the-dark stripes, they glowed gray though. His scales were polished and they shined like a light in the dark. "Sorry Starry, that's your official name," Storm shrugged. Starlight groaned. "It's my /nickname/ then!" Starlight said crossly. Storm grinned with twinkling eyes. Starlight looked away, hiding her pleased smile. “C’mon Starry, we let’s go meet your abilities!” Storm exclaimed.
Storm is reminding me of Keefe from Keeper of the Lost Cities and Starlight is reminding me of Sophie. In the next few chapters, ‘Starry’ will find her out if she has mind reading, prophecy, etc.. In the new NightWing kingdom the dragonets don’t figure out their powers until they reach the age of 15 years. Chapter 2 is coming out soon! They inherited the throne. RainWing: Queen Lemur; Her sister is Bat, her Grandparents (only Deathbringer is alive) are Deathbringer and Queen Glory. SeaWing: Queen Aqua; Granddaughter of Queen Coral, mother is Auklet. The previous Queen was Anemone. SkyWing: Queen Cardinal; She took the throne from Queen Starling, Starling’s mother is Queen Ruby.
