how i draw / color eyes ... a tutorial ------------------------- hi everyone !! here is a tutorial on how i color and draw eyes, requested by @MouseC4t123 :] if you have any further questions, feel free to ask in the comments! process: step 1: drawing the eyelid/eyelash i usually use rectangular shapes for the eyelids, but there are plenty of different types and i recommend experimenting! the bottom of the lid starts at the top of the ear :3 step 2: i draw another rectangle beneath the eyelid step 3: i add the base colors step 4: i shade the eye using a more saturated version of the base color, coloring the top of the block (usually on a clipping layer so i can easily edit it) i also usually add an extra line beneath it so it's not just a solid block, but this is optional! step 5: for this i jump across the color wheel from the base color and pick a lighter and less saturated version before adding it to the bottom of the eyes do remember though, highlights can differ in position depending on the light source step 6: i add base color to lash step 7: i add highlights in a lighter color step 8: optional, though i recommend it add whites of the eyes, using a pale yellow to make a block behind the irises step 8.5 (i forgot to add sob): shade across the color wheel step 9: add eyebrows (color is usually done accordingly to the characters hair) ------------------------- credits: art: @cybber code: @colorsnatch song: jupiter rainstorm - liana flores
