Let’s just hope our flight from here doesn't get cancelled :| Also, that isn't fire; it's LAVA. Edit: This is a slot/vent(?) volcano that’s caused when two tectonic plates diverge, meaning they split apart from each other. This can expose magma to the surface, allowing it to erupt as lava. Iceland is located directly on the divergent boundary of two tectonic plates, so it grows in size because when the plates diverge, the magma they expose comes up to the surface and eventually cools down to form new continental (land) crust. idk why I wrote this science thingy I was learning abt this in science class for the last few months the info is embedded into my brain (ToT )
