These are the Spirograph toys from my childhood. Click to zoom in. If you wonder why I share this photo, keep reading ...
If you don't know what a Spirograph is, start here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirograph There are lots of Spirograph projects on Scratch, and I made two myself: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/465346222/ https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/466308075/ But @Scratch-Minion's recent project Spirograph ART stands out for letting you use the resulting patterns to create art: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/940466495/ Also, if you click the Help button, you can see photos of Mrs. Scratch Minion's childhood Spirograph. That brings us to this project. I thought I'd share a photo of the Spirograph knock-offs I used myself. They are two different sets. The white discs belong to the same set as the transparent ruler with holes. The colorful discs belong to the same set as the elephant. The former are a very simplified version of the original Spirograph set. The latter is very creatively designed, but largely impractical. The fun thing is that the tooth size is the same, so you can mix the sets and produce lots of different patterns. Unfortunately, I don't have any box or pamphlet or anything, so I have no idea what their product name or maker is.
