>---------------------------------<>---------------------------------< So uhhhhh- I felt bad bc so many ppl wanted to know what happened next... I kinda left on a cliffhanger and since I have NO TIME to draw panels I decided to write it. I need to practice my writing skills anyways since Destiny will be a novel series irl. (The side stories will be GN and the online version) Comment down below your theories :) Next: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1052492442/ Prev: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/882897409 First: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/849515065 Prologue: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/855316741 Cameos: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/851437222 Characters: Wrath @mooalmoo Phoebe @mooalmoo Stripe @mooalmoo Bella @mooalmoo Dave @mooalmoo Gale @mooalmoo Daisy @mooalmoo Catmint @Icysalamender Zenith @nonosugarbaby >---------------------------------<>---------------------------------< Phoebe blinked, a raindrop pelted her on the nose. The rain was pouring down hard today. She and her family sat around a grave. The word "David." had been engraved into the tombstone. Wrath sat beside her, her tail wrapped around Phoebe. Phoebe blinked back tears, she leaned into her sister for support. It had been a day since their fathers death, the tomb had no body- The dragon had taken him- Phoebe tried to not think about the disaster, she could feel the tears welling up. She glanced over at her siblings, they sat side by side next to their mother, Bella. Daisy was wrapped around Gale while Stripe sat upright next to Bella, she had her tail curled around the three and stared at the grave. Daisy sniffled and Gale set his head down on Daisys tail. Phoebe turned her attention back to the grave. She tried so hard not to picture the last time she saw her father... His face was stricken with grief and fear, his paws outstretched towards her as the dragon carried him off- She choked back tears, it was all so much for her- She leaned into Wrath more, sobbing, Wrath leaned into Phoebe, resting her head on hers. Catmint padded over next to Bella, "Im so sorry for your lost, Bella." he glanced at the grave. "He was a great cat." his voice was strained, edged with grief. Bella blinked looking at him. "He really was." It was the first time Phoebe had heard her mother speak today. She hadn't spoken at all since his death, Phoebe could tell she was grieving, her voice was hoarse and rough. Catmint gestured to the other villagers. Everyone in the valley who had heard of the attack came to check up on Bella and her family. Bella stepped aside so other cats could mourn the death of their old friend. Some cats bowed their heads in respect or left small flowers by the grave. Bella walked over to where most of the neighbors were, they all chatted and talked about Dave. It all made Phoebe want to sink away, she didn't like to think of him in past tense. Phoebe overheard her mother and Zenith talking, "Im so sorry for your loss." Zenith said. Phoebe moved away from Wrath to listen more, she peeked around another cat and saw them talking, Zenith was standing with his sword strapped to his back. He was large and bulky, Zenith had also lost his father to the dragon. He had his mothers bright blue fur and his fathers bright yellow eyes. Phoebe never knew Zenith, she'd only seen him at parties. And that was when he was younger. Now he was larger and carried a sword. "He was a great husband" Bella replied. Zenith nodded, "He was a great friend. I remember when the dragon took my father. It was horrible." He glanced at where her siblings were. "I feel bad for them." He thought for a moment. "I should put a end to all this suffering." he looked up at the mountains his face serious, he hopped over to where a rock overlooked the crowd of cats, he jumped up onto it and declared "This dragon has taken too many cats from us! Tonight I will climb the mountains and slay this beast!" he roared, the crowd cheered but a few cats looked unsure of this decision. He moved his head over his shoulder and gripped the swords handle between his teeth, taking the sword out of its sheath. He held it up, the rain had stopped and the clouds moved away, causing the sword to glisten in the sun. "Tonibht I say the dwagon!" he shouted through the sword in his jaws. Phoebe sank away from the crowd, it all made her sick to her stomach. She just wanted her father, the way he looked at her and loved her unlike anyone else. She looked back at her mother who was talking with another villager. "Has she ever loved me?" Phoebe thought to herself, she shook her head "Not with the way she treats me" her mother hadn't even spoken to her or even looked at her for the entire day. She sniffled and turned towards the forest, "I need alone time." she thought.

Description

Phoebe padded through the damp forest. The only sounds were the squelching of her paws in the mud and moss, with the faint sound of chirping birds and mice rustling through the undergrowth. Phoebe crept through the forest "I've never been here alone..." She thought. Her father had always taken her walking through the forest, but this was the first time she went alone... It was sad, and lonely. "Maybe I should have taken Wrath with me..." she looked back, longing for the warmth and kindness of her sister. She decided to not go back to the party, she preferred to be alone and quiet than to go back there. She wandered around the forest for some time before going into the tree her and Wrath played in the other day. The tree was large and round and had years worth of moss on its trunk, her father had helped carve out a small hideout in the tree, the entrance was at the roots and went underneath the trunk of the tree and slightly carved into the trunk. She crept inside and felt the scrape marks left on the wood made by her father. She curled up in the muddy dirt covering her head with her paws and sobbed. Phoebe realized she must have dozed off as she blinked her eyes open and saw daylight seeping into the den. "It must be evening... How long did I sleep?... Dad could be worried!-" she froze, the realization of reality dawned on her and she sat down, her fur seemed to droop with sadness. "Hey are you okay?" Phoebe blinked, looking up to see a small black tomcat looking at her, he seemed to be about her age... maybe older... but only a little bit. His fur was spikey on the ends and he had these large orange eyes staring at her. "Uhm.... Im okay..." she stumbled on the words. "My names- Uhm, Tom" he grinned at her, "Phoebe." she nodded, she seemed to instinctively hide one of her tails by curling it up behind her back. Phoebe smiled, "Its uh nice to meet you." Her voice was a bit strained from the relentless crying earlier, but she was recovering. Tom opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by her mothers call "PHOEBE? GET BACK HERE THIS INSTANT!" Phoebe cringed, it wasn't like her mother to call her back. "Sorry..." was all Phoebe could manage to mumble before turning away from Tom and heading back towards her home. Her mother looked angry and Wrath hid behind her, hunched over and with a guilty face. "*She* is the one who worried about me. She asked mom and now she's upset that im in trouble." Phoebe thought to herself, Phoebe warily approached her mother, she took a quick glance around their home. Everyone seemed to have left and the grass was shining from the morning rain. Phoebe quietly approached her mother, "Where did you go?" she looked down at Phoebe with a stern gaze that made Phoebe want to crawl all the way back into the woods. "T-To the tree den..." Phoebe managed to mumbled out, "The what?" her mother asked again. "The tree den..." Phoebe replied, her mother hissed under her breath and looked up to see the setting sun. "Its late. Inside now." she turned towards the den with Daisy, Gale, and Stripe, following after her. She waited for each one to enter the den and then stopped Wrath and Phoebe at the entrance. "No. You can sleep in the *tree den*" she said with disgust. Phoebe stared at her wide eyed and Wrath gaped at her "But-" Wrath started "No buts. Go." their mother interrupted. She turned brisky and went into the den. Wrath and Phoebe slowly padded into the woods, alone, cold, and getting darker by the minute. They crept into the cold hard tree den and curled up together. Wrath curled her tail around Phoebe and laid her head down on her paws. Phoebe rested her head on Wraths tail, she sobbed silently as the two kits fell asleep in the tree den.
