Welcome to chapter one! Next: not yet ;3 Previous: none! First: your here! Please enjoy! ------------------------- Hi there. I'm Stella - a 15 year old girl at East Burkton High. More well known as Celestial High. It's where all the best space manipulators go - and we train as much as we can. I'm currently a freshman, and it's the first day of school. Let's take a glimpse, shall we? . . The bell. That one bell that decides when classes start and end. I looked around for my class. I knew where it was, yeah.. but it was more confusing in person than on paper. Finding class 1A - my second class - I took a sigh of relief. I walked in the door, smiling lightly as I strode my way to my desk, knowing well that I was earlier than the other students that would be taking this class. I wanted the best seat i could find - the one in the back. It's always where the most interesting people sat. Placing my books on the table, I was still grinning. The teacher looked at me kindly, and looked back at his papers. He was probably the best looking teacher I had. And he looked kind-hearted, too. "You know, that's where all the bad boys sit," he advised, looking back up at me, "so I would be prepared to get stared at." I nodded my head quickly, as I looked up at him. "Yeah, I get it. but I'm new. So sometimes, you have to ask for attention. So you don't end up lonely," i spoke up quickly. . . Quick note. In most of these kinda diaries, your the soft quiet kid. Not me. I'm loud, crazy - I'm the kind of person people know, and either love or hate. Okay, keep going. . . Mr. Epsi (short for Elliptical, which would mean he controls the path of our planet), as I found out his name is, smiled and chuckled a bit. "Quite the advice, young girl," (may I note, he's not old at all. Maybe twenty eight.) He remarked, "what's your name?" Here's where I chose. Go off as meek and just state my first name, or come off powerful with my first name and last name? Choice two. For sure. "Stella Nebula. Daughter of Chris Nebula," I replied politely. (Yes Nebula. we're space manipulators, remember?) Mr. Epsi looked slightly surprised as he asked, "really? I didn't think his daughter would be so outgoing. Typically children of famous people are quiet." I shrugged, as more students started to file into the room. Sure enough, as more people walked in, all the boys collected in the corner I was in. Some handsome boy walked up to my desk, tapping lightly on the wood. "Hey, you. This is normally my desk in this class. Could I have it back?" He asked in a bitter voice, his politeness clearly fake. I looked up, a hard yet kind look in my eyes, that I've mastered over the years. "I don't know, could you possibly sit over there? I like this spot, and I think you should sit next to me," I chirped with a joy that I had also mastered. He looked over at the desk I was pointing at. It was to my right. "I mean..." He looked back at me, clearly flustered that I had refused, "I could, yes." I brushed my hair back, smiling still. "Then would you? I like this spot, and that one.. pure loud boy material!" I gave him jazz hands. He seemed shocked by my replies. Then he grinned, slammed his stuff on the desk to my right, and slid in the chair. He looked at me. "What's your name, daring girl?" The boy asked. He was clearly the grade above me, as he was bulky, and too handsome to be a freshman. I grinned. Yes, this is what I needed. Questions, boyfriends, friends. They're what I longed for, my goal in life. Attention. Now, I'm not at all attention seeking. It comes to me naturally. But it feels nice to get some from someone other than my family. Because on socials and such? I'm just the daughter of Chris Nebula. So instead I make friends and become a person. "I'm Stella. What shall I call you, fine sir?" I put on a posh, clearly fake accent. He snorted in amusement. "Nice to meet you, Stella. I'm Jake," he twirled his finger in the air, comet like dust trailing behind it. . . Another thing you probably don't know. Your last name correspond to your powers - what you control. Therefore his name would be Jake Comet. Now, I actually don't control nebulas. I control stars. But because I'm female I can't change my last name to my power unless legally agreed to by my future husband. Comet might not even actually be his last name, but would be his and his wife's in the future unless agreed upon otherwise. Think of it like normal human last names. . . I snickered a bit, flipping my hair back. "Nice to meet you, Jake. It's a pleasure to be your class neighbor," I used my posh accent again, sniffing dramatically. I stuck out my hand so I could shake his, and at that point, his friend on his other side was watching us intently, a smirk on his face. I shook Jake's hand, and then glanced over at his friend. "Hi there!" I waved at him, +
(continued below in here :3) + "you probably heard my name. And Jake's. But I don't know yours!" The boy glanced at me, now he was slightly shocked. He took a second to recollect, and then he smiled again. "Leland, is my name. And I did catch your name - Stella, right?" He asked, clearly being genuine. I nodded, and grinned even wider. "Yes, that's my name," I replied with a ringing, sweet tone. Even I thought I could be little Ms. Lovely for a moment. Perfect. However, Leland cringed at me. "what kinda voice was that?" He laughed a loud laugh, people looking back at us - the trio in the back. I laughed along, actually enjoying myself for once. The bell rang, and it had somewhat felt like it had already been an hour. After all, I had already met Leland and Jack, both were amusing and not super ugly. Jack was even - I dare say - good-looking. He always tended to get a smile on my face that day. . . So, that class period was pretty boring after that. But I had to bring it up - after all, they're important in the rest of this week I'm talking about. . . Lunch was the next thing I actually cared about that came next. I sat down next to Jack and Leland, at their table - per their request. I had met a few other boys, and a few girls, too. There was Jonah, Riley (the boy one, we call him Riley Rick, I guess?), Ashley, Rylie (the girl one, we call her Rye), and Cassidy. Cassidy was the only one I didn't like. Sorta annoying - and for your information, no one else I talked to knew who she even was. So that says something. Anyway, I sat with Jack, Leland, Riley Rick, and a few other boys. There were some protests about me sitting there, but Jack insisted that it was temporary, until a spot at Ashley's table cleared up. The protests stopped, because they all knew that Ashley was the best looking girl at school, and any girl associated with her was much more important than themselves in the popularity ranking. It was all odd, how these kids viewed themselves in popularity. There were two main groups - weird and popular. Then there were branches among that, and among that, and eventually I guess you could call it a popularity tree - and one did actually exist, somewhere. I was informed about it from Leland. He said that a girl had made it, but no one knows who. It was probably Ashley. She seems to really care about popularity, which I don't understand, but also do. Being popular feels nice, but it shouldnt be a priority in life. A few of the boys I didn't know the names of introduced themselves, and told me a bit about their school. Jack seemed to be smiling the whole time, and Leland seemed distracted, like something was bothering him. But it was my first day, I wasn't going to just... Ask him what was wrong. And at the time, I hadn't really noticed. . . That's all I really had today. I hope it was interesting, as your life seems so different. Lots of love, your pen pal, Stella. ----------------------------------------------------- sent 14:25 pm, Wed.
