When Thomas discovered the town of Great Waterton, workload on STH’s railway was increasing, and Thomas (being the engine who found it) was sent to be in charge of all the work there, meanwhile, a tank engine from the other railway was sent to help Daisy out with the passenger work on Thomas’ branchline, leading to the arrival of an 0-6-0 Saddle Tank named Stanley, just like Thomas, Stanley had six small wheels and a short stumpy dome, the other engines quickly took a liking into Stanley, especially Daisy since Stanley was helping her out on the branchline with all the passenger work, but Thomas was jealous, and after he returned from the works and found out Stanley became the engine in charge of the work at Great Waterton, he began to hate the silver tank engine, Thomas would then try several tricks to try and get Stanley into trouble, however, no matter how hard Thomas tried, Stanley would would use his quick thinking to save himself, which would cause Thomas to become outraged, soon, he formed a plan, the next day, Stanley told him to shunt some troublesome trucks that were meant to go to the quarry, Thomas would obey, however, he would shunt a long line of freight cars that (one of those trucks was Rickety himself! :D), causing the coupling between Stanley and the first truck to break at the hill, which would then lead to the tower collapsing, causing millions of debris to fly everywhere, covering Thomas, James, Toby, Percy, Gordon, Edward, Oliver, and Duck in brick dust, Thomas would then blame himself for the incident, and later that night, when everyone is asleep, Thomas would clear all the debris away, and eventually get lost in a mine when chasing down a runaway freight truck, Stanley and his friends all went searching, Stanley would then find Thomas at the bottom of a hill, Thomas would then apologise to Stanley for his actions and Stanley forgives him, and the two help each other back to Great Waterton, a few hours later, Topham would congratulate Thomas and Stanley for helping each other out, Thomas then suggested that Stanley should probably go to the works since his safety valve burst, STH would then agree, so Stanley was sent to the works to get repaired, just in time for Sodor Day, where Stanley (who is now numbered 27) would take the mayor to Great Waterton via Annie and Clarabel (by the request of Thomas), and ever since that day, Thomas and Stanley have been great friends I used Domix’s AU of 2006 as the base
