myy entry :D ◇◈◆ Shooting Star ◆◈◇ - they / them - kind, helpful, grants wishes BACKSTORY --------------------------- A not-so-dark night is where it begins. Shooting Star streamed down the sky, pinpointing their landing position. "Whee!" they exclaimed happily, "I wonder which human will wish on me..." they said, their eyes sparkling. "Ack!" they heard a human gasp as they landed. "Ooh, new friend!" Star said cheerfully, "Hi!" "Uh... hi, bye?" the human said timidly, then rushed off. *** Later in the night, Star began to wander around the world. "Huh! how come I never saw this from space?" they wondered, looking around at the lampposts and trees. And that's when a tree branch fell on them. "RUDE!" they complained, throwing the branch away and brushing off themself. That's when they saw it: a figure made completely out of shadows, sand, dirt, and hundreds of nightmares. They could feel the monster pulling them towards it. Star stared at it for a moment, and promptly fell on their face. "ARGHH!" they said, and then blasted the shadow-creature with a beam of light. "Aghh, black hole monsters..." they muttered. "Mommy, look! The monster disappeared!" they heard a child say. That's when Star realized that this had been the wish!
