Talking about the way Spruce often has a problem trusting people and when he finally does trust someone, he constantly thinks they’re too good to be true. ii. Talking about the toxic/manipulative friend that Spruce is going to encounter as he grows up. </3 iii. In the moments when Spruce realises how horrible his friend was. It talks about how much this changed his life and how if you let people, they can damage you too badly. Also, it’s just such a good song, I discovered it while watching a tv show. iv. This talks about how Spruce finds it hard to trust people and has an idea that anyone who tries to be his friends wants something from him too, and that he shouldn’t let people in because of the effects it had before. x. Once again, this song is talking about the effects a certain relationship had on Sprucekit, this time talking about how he began to turn away cats who potentially want to be his friend, in a totally genuine and innocent way, not a toxic or manipulative way. [ Notes ] As you can see, most songs relate to the manipulative friend, this is onky because how much of a life-changing moment this was for Spruce, and how much it would define his personality later in life.
